I was slightly concerned (having had some dodgy experiences in the past) travelling through airport security with the sensor attached to my arm. IвЂ™ve set it as one of my personal goals to keep this little diary of my daily life updated daily (something IвЂ™ve been bloody awful at before) so that my doctor can have a real insight into whatвЂ™s going on at my next appointment in just over a months time.ДЄs I write this blog IвЂ™m doing a small amount of travelling (Oslo via Amsterdam for the weekend) with work. Also it means that I can email it to my diabetic nurse easily, spot patterns on the screen and print it off if I really wanted too. It literally took me less them 5 mins all in to get the old one removed, the new one attached and setup with the Freestyle Libre meter again.ДЄlong with keeping scanning many times per hour, I have also started a little spreadsheet on my iPad to keep track of things and make it easier at a glance вЂ“ it also means that I can just record the overview of whatвЂ™s going on and add in little notes such as вЂstressful dayвЂ™ or similar to remind me whatвЂ™s going on.

I was slightly apprehensive about what would be underneath my sensor after 2 weeks, how difficult would it be to remove, would I feel some discomfort or pain when applying the new sensor? Well, IвЂ™m happy to report that it all went well!! There was quite a bit of glue style stuff (used to keep the sensor attached вЂ¦ See photo!) left on my arm but nothing that a little scrub in the shower couldnвЂ™t solve.
